Viton® O-Ring Features
- Excellent resistance to high temperatures with a situational service life above 200°C.
- Excellent resistance to chemicals, including acids, alkalis, oils, solvents, and other corrosive materials.
- Excellent resistance to fuels, including gasoline, diesel, and biodiesel.
- Excellent resistance oils, lubricants, and hydraulic fluids.
- Excellent resistance to aging and ozone.
- Low compression set.
- Low gas permeability.
Viton® O-Ring Limitations
- Low temperature limit with inefficient working below -20°C.
- Higher compression set at extremely high temperatures.
- Swelling in certain fluids, such as ketones, esters, amines, and anhydrous ammonia.
Viton® O-Ring Service Temperature*
-15°F (-26°C) to 446°F (230°C)
In the case of specific formulations,
Low Temperature: -65°F (-54°C)
High Temperature: 400°F (204°C)
